Possible causes:

Steps to Fix:
1. Check Device Permissions

Check Microphone Permissions

- Open Settings > Privacy & security > Scroll down to Microphone
- Confirm Microsoft Teams has permissions to access the microphone

- Open Settings > Privacy & security > Scroll down to Camera
- Confirm Microsoft Teams has permissions to access the camera

2. Check Audio and Video Settings
- Open Teams Settings: Click on the ellipsis by your profile picture at the top-right corner > select Settings from the menu

Select the Devices tab

Under Audio section:

- Speakers – select the speakers/headphones you are using
- Microphone – select the correct microphone (built-in microphone, headset)
- Test your audio by clicking 'Make a test call' – Teams will record a short message and play it back to you, allowing you to verify if the mic and speakers are working
