If Postman is freezing/greyed out and/or not functioning properly, follow the below steps.
Step 1. Restart Postman
- Close and reopen Postman to refresh the app
Step 2. Force Close Postman
- Open Task Manager → find Postman under the Processes Tab → Right-click & End Task
Step 3. Restart the computer
Step 4. Uninstall and Reinstall Postman

- Before uninstalling, ensure collections are synced to postman account or exported to avoid data loss.

- Control Panel → Programs → Uninstall a program → find Postman → Uninstall
- Go to Postman site & install latest version
Step 5. Try Postman Web: https://identity.getpostman.com. It has most of the same features and can be used as an alternative.
Step 6. Delete Postman's Local Data - this step might reset some settings, but user's collections and request should be safe if they are synced to user's postman account
Go to the following folder: C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Postman
You can delete or rename the postman folder to reset the app's configuration.
