Here are some troubleshooting steps users can take if the ACORD VPN/ACORD VPN MFA isn't working.
1. Verify Your Internet Connection
-
Ensure you’re connected to a stable internet connection
-
Test your connection by visiting a website or running a speed test.
2. Restart Your Device – This will clear any temporary glitches that might be interfering with the VPN connection.
3. Reconnect to the VPN – Disconnect and reconnect to the VPN.
4. Check VPN Credentials
-
Double-check your username and password to ensure they’re entered correctly.
-
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > VPN > ACORD VPN MFA > Advanced Options
-
You may edit if the input does not reflect the below:
-
-
Username should be acordny\your username
-
Password should be current laptop password
-
-
-
5. Reset your Office MFA
-
If you're not receiving a code from Microsoft Authenticator, reset your MFA (Multi-factor Authentication)
-
Go to https://www.office.com > On the bottom left, click on your profile icon > click View Account > click Security Info > Add sign-in method > Follow the instructions on the screen
6. Run Windows Troubleshooter
-
Use Windows’ built-in troubleshooting tools:
-
Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
-
Run the Network and Internet troubleshooter.
-
Follow the instructions on the screen.
