Yesterday, Microsoft experienced a major outage that affected several services, including Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, and related apps) and its Azure cloud platform.
What Happened:
The disruption was caused by an inadvertent configuration change in Microsoft’s global traffic management system (Azure Front Door), which led to widespread connectivity issues for many businesses worldwide.
Current Status:
- Microsoft reports that services have been restored and are operating normally.
- A small number of users may still notice intermittent issues as systems fully stabilize.
- No data loss has been reported, and Microsoft has implemented safeguards to prevent similar incidents.
What You Should Do:
- If you continue to experience problems, please restart your applications and sign back in.
- Contact the ACORD Helpdesk at helpdesk@acord.org if issues persist.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this outage. We’ll continue to monitor and share any further updates if needed.
