Hi everyone,
Microsoft released its February Patch Tuesday security updates, addressing 58 vulnerabilities, including six actively exploited “zero‑day” security issues that attackers are currently using in the wild.
These updates affect Windows and Microsoft Office. Some of these vulnerabilities can be exploited when users interact with malicious links, files, or documents, which is why timely updates and cautious email behavior are important.
What you need to do
- ✅ These updates are being pushed automatically via Endpoint Central
- ✅ When the update is ready to install, you will receive a prompt to restart your PC — please restart as soon as possible
- ✅ If an Office update is included:
- You will be prompted to start the update
- All open Office apps (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) will close during the update
- You’ll be notified when Office is ready to be used again
- ✅ Please leave your device powered on when not in use so updates can complete
- ⚠️ Continue to be cautious with unexpected emails, links, or attachments, even if they appear legitimate
Our IT team is actively managing and monitoring these updates. No additional action is needed beyond responding to the prompts unless we contact you directly.
If you notice anything unusual on your device or have trouble completing updates, please contact the Helpdesk at helpdesk@acord.org.
