Great news! Copilot now works the same way across Microsoft 365—whether you use it in Teams (Copilot Chat), inside your Office apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, or in the standalone Copilot app. This means a simpler, more consistent experience wherever you work.
What’s new?
- One Copilot experience: The same smart help in Teams, Office apps, and the Copilot app.
-
Work and Web tabs:
- Work → Searches your work content (files, chats, meetings) that you already have access to.
- Web → Searches the internet for general information.
- No extra steps: If you already have Copilot, it’s ready to use—no new installs needed.
Where to find Copilot
- In Teams: Click the Copilot icon on the left.
- In Word/Excel/PowerPoint: Look for the Copilot button on the top ribbon.
- Standalone app: Search for Copilot in your apps list or open it from the Start menu.
Examples of what you can do
- “Summarize this document in 3 bullet points.”
- “Turn these notes into a presentation outline.”
- “Give me 3 ways to make this text more engaging.”
Tip: Just ask in plain language—Copilot works like a helpful colleague.
