We wanted to make you aware of a phishing attempt circulating via text message (SMS/iMessage). Staff have reported receiving messages from unknown numbers claiming to be a colleague or executive asking to chat.

These messages are a common tactic used by scammers to impersonate someone you know to request money, gift cards, or sensitive information.

If you receive a message like this, please:

• Do not respond
• Do not click any links
• Report it as Junk using the option in your messaging app
• Forward the message or report it to IT at helpdesk@acord.org.

If you are ever unsure whether a message is legitimate, please reach out to IT before responding.
