On October 14, Microsoft released its monthly security updates, known as Patch Tuesday. These updates are critical for keeping our systems safe and up to date.
What’s in this update?
- 193 security issues fixed, including:
- 9 critical vulnerabilities that could allow attackers to take control of systems.
- 6 zero-day vulnerabilities that were already being exploited.
- Updates for Windows, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Edge.
- This is also the final update for Windows 10, as it has reached end of support.
What you need to do:
- Updates will install automatically during our maintenance window.
- Please save your work and restart your computer if prompted.
- If you notice any issues after the update, contact the IT Helpdesk.
